We have learned that unity among the local non-profits results in more people receiving help, best practices being shared and greater impact the community. The Baycross Community Center will facilitate a vibrant, Christ-centered network amongst like-minded nonprofit organizations. We believe that the unity and creativity that will result from deeper connections among our nonprofits will be a great blessing for the community.
The Baycross Community Center will be a place where all walks of life find belonging and rejuvenation. Our goal is to maximize the use of the building every day to improve the quality of lives; to bring people closer to God; and to offer Christ-Centered relational opportunities. Through our programs and events, our hope is that people will grow stronger in their relationships with each other and with God and discover and develop their talents and purposes.
- To make Christian nonprofits more visible, more accessible and more impactful in the community.
- To provide a place for collaboration between non-profits.
- To provide space for our nonprofits to hold events/programs.
- To be the area’s Christian special event center.
- To provide Christ-centered after school programs and summer camps for Kensington Park and surrounding neighborhoods.
- To provide education to the community regarding nutrition and fitness.
- To provide a fine arts/performing arts program for kids and teens.
- To provide community help programs such as marriage and family coaching, grief counseling, addiction education classes, financial literacy classes, anger management, and Christ-centered programs for troubled adolescents.
- To provide smaller churches and small groups with a place to meet and worship.
- To provide safe and Christ-centered social opportunities for those who are socially isolated.
- To provide a place for families and communities to have fun and bond together.
- To provide basketball leagues for kids, teens and adults.
