BCFF awarded a grant to the Good Samaritan Mission. GSM offers a unique type of educational opportunity for the needy in its community. GSM classes are a healthy balance of information, discipleship, prayer and relationship building. Offerings include, but are not limited to: Cooking/nutrition, computer skills, dental hygiene, emergency preparedness, ESL, health and safety, literacy, marriage & family, parenting, financial literacy, prenatal education, and sewing. Classes meet on Tuesday morning. Each session lasts six weeks. Most classes are 30 minutes long. After completion of each class, each student receives a special token for shopping in our store, affectionately named “Ann’s Shop.” The student exchanges their token for a bag and then selects items of their choice to fill the bag. Items available include food, toiletries, and diapers.
