BCFF awarded a grant to Woodland Community Church to support its ministry at The Coffee Loft, a destination coffee shop located at 5025 North Tamiami Trail in Sarasota, just south of University Ave. It is through the Coffee Loft that Woodland Community Church ministers to a population of over 6,000 college students who attend USF Sarasota–Manatee, New College, and Ringling College of Art and Design. Woodland also uses this location to promote the advancement of the arts through a Christian perspective and perform social ministry to those living in the community. Woodland’s social ministry includes assisting the homeless and encouraging educational involvement for the underprivileged.
