Baycross Christian Family Foundation awarded a grant to the Free Indeed Food Bank in Sarasota. In the past 12-month period, the Free Indeed Food Bank distributed free, quality food to 23,173 adults and 6,886 children under the age of 18. The Free Indeed Food Bank served 8,889 families, with each family receiving an average of 50lbs of food per year, including meat, fresh fruits and vegetables and dry goods. In addition, Free Indeed Food Bank provided food for special outreach functions in collaboration with other non-profits. In total, Free Indeed Food Bank distributed over 517,000 lbs of food from June 2016 – May 2017 providing over a half a million meals to hurting and desperate people! Most of the families eat for an entire week on what Free Indeed Food Bank provides for them, costing just $3 per person per week!
