Baycross Christian Family Foundation has awarded a grant to Lifeline Family Center to support its biblical counseling and character development programs.
Lifeline Family Center is dedicated to saving the unborn, and providing young women in unplanned pregnancies with a comprehensive educational program in a safe secure Christian home. Lifeline’s goal is to enable them to redirect their lives and become self-supporting within two years after the birth of their child. Lifeline is unique in that the staff and volunteers are not only concerned with saving a baby from abortion, but also with saving the child from a life of poverty and neglect. Lifeline cares as much about the mother as they do the child. Lifeline’s programs address the needs of both. A young woman coming to Lifeline Family Center is given the gift of hope by providing her a home, scholarship opportunities and care for her child while she pursues an education for a career. Lifeline’s programs will introduce her, or reacquaint her, with the unconditional love of Jesus Christ. Lifeline Family Center provides services without the assistance of governmental agencies. They strive to operate according to biblical principles in providing the highest standards of life and education for its residents.
In addition to Lifeline’s residential program, Lifeline is actively serving Lee County through various outreach programs. The Hope Hotline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with trained staff that can assist immediate crises. Lifeline has monthly outpost locations in Lehigh, Fort Myers, Bokeelia and North Fort Myers. Every outpost location offers free pregnancy tests, counseling and referral services. Also available to the community are free limited ultrasounds by appointment at Lifeline Family Center. They not only seek to help pregnant women, but also want to reach women dealing with the devastation of having experienced an abortion or miscarriage. Through its Healing Hearts Bible Study, Lifeline is helping women heal mentally, emotionally and spiritually from their loss. Lifeline has also added free non-medical ultrasound to its ministry. Currently nine out of 11 women chose life after seeing an ultrasound of their baby and hearing the baby’s heartbeat!
