BCFF awarded a grant to Selah Freedom to support its outreach team and prevention programs. Selah Freedom partners with local law enforcement and prisons to be the first point of contact for sexually exploited victims. The Outreach Program works closely with local law enforcement, in the jail system and on the street identifying and bringing solutions to women currently involved in this abuse. Selah Freedom provides an array of opportunities and quality services to the women they serve. Some of these services include: Art Therapy, SMART Horse Therapy, Rapid Resolution Therapy, GED Assistance, Job Training, Life Skills Training, Healthy Relationship Guidance, Eating Disorder Education, Mentorship, Support Groups, and education to aid in their transition into Independent Living. Selah Freedom provides masters level clinicians on staff for our Survivors.
Selah Freedom is now the only organization in Florida certified to facilitate the nationally acclaimed youth prevention program, My Life, My Choice, developed in Boston for 12-17 year old at-risk girls. The survivor-written and survivor-led curriculum is proven to lower the chance of girls being sexually/commercially exploited by over 90 percent. Selah Freedom is growing its partnerships with the local agencies that serve these young, vulnerable girls.
