“On behalf of the entire staff at Myakka City Elementary, we want to express our sincere appreciation to Baycross Foundation for the extremely generous gift of a literacy interventionist teacher for the past two years. We are grateful and encouraged that sometimes the challenges of being a small, remotely located school can be offset by an organization whose only motive is to ultimately make the lives and futures of students better through a quality education.
Because of BCFF’s generous donation, we were able to implement a math and literacy intervention program that helped contribute to the success of our students performing above the state average in all content areas and our school becoming an “A” rated school for the 2017-18 school year.
